As there are so many visa categories, it’s a bit hard to find where exactly to apply for E33G visa – but don’t worry, I walk you through.
- Go to the official e-visa website of Indonesia
- Click “Apply” in Visa Application Guideline
- You need to choose the right category visa here:
- Choose your nationality
- The main purpose of my visit > Professional or Employment
- The sub purpose of my visit > Remote Worker
- I want to explore & choose a visa > E33G – Employees of companies abroad work remotely in Indonesia (there is only one option)
- I am planning to stay > 1 YEAR (there is only one option)
Once you fill in all the above, a button “Detail & Login” appear at the bottom. Clicking this button opens the information of the visa, including the documents you need to submit.
When you click “Apply”, you will be prompted to create an account for application, where you will submit all the required information and documents, as well as make a payment for visa fee.
Once the application is submitted, you can track the status of your application on the e-visa website.
In addition to the electronic limited stay permit, the limited stay permit also has a physical card (KITAS) available at the immigration office.
What is KITAS?
KITAS stands for “Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas”, which translates to Limited Stay Permit Card in English. It’s a residence permit, not a visa.
