Re Generate offers a very unique experience for people looking to step away from the tourist infrastructure and connect deeply with an existing community of people living alternative lifestyles.

Participants will get to choose to participate in a practice of ‘I-Shoku-Ju’ – the Japanese art of wearing, eating, and living – through the eco village’s specialised skills with farming, earthbag natural building, and indigo hand-dyeing.

This is not a typical digital nomad retreat. It’s an invitation to step away from screens and slow down. If you’ve been craving a break from the digital noise, this retreat offers space for a real reset.

Venue: Fuyuugai – Floating City

Re Generate takes place in Fuyuugai, an experimental eco-village in rural Kumamoto. The community is shaped by creators, artists, travelers, and others who actively participate in building and sustaining the village together. The village operates with its own internal economy, using a local currency and gamified systems that encourage collaboration, contribution, and shared responsibility.

• Ikigai, Community over productivity
  A space to explore Ikigai — purpose and fulfillment — through community, creativity, and a strong sense of place, rather than productivity and output.
• Rooted in I-Shoku-Jyu
  Activities are inspired by I-Shoku-Jyu (food, clothing, food, and shelter) the fundamental elements of human life, explored through daily experiences and shared practices.
• Intimate Small-Group Setting
  Limited to up to 20 participants, the retreat is designed for depth, trust, and genuine connection.
• Hosted in Fuyuugai – a radical eco village
  The retreat takes place in an experimental eco-village with its own community-driven economy.
