Elena Shimoda is the founder of ELENTO LLC, based in Shimoda City, Japan, where she specializes in global communication and destination branding for the digital nomad generation. Her work centers on promoting Shimoda as a remote work destination through PR, events, and international outreach.

With a strong background in supporting educational institutions and tech companies, Elena focuses on public relations for workations and cross-cultural collaboration. In 2024, she became an executive officer of the Japan Digital Nomad Association and launched Digital Nomads Tokyo, a community initiative organizing meetups and knowledge-sharing events for remote professionals.

Elena is passionate about creating bridges between local communities and global talent, helping Japanese regions welcome and thrive with the digital nomad movement.
